Membership

A membership of ABOTMA is valid from 1 July until 30 June regardless of when you join. *  

Cost:  Yearly membership is $30.  Lifetime memberships are $500.

Note: An individual membership gives access to buy either one discounted weekend ticket or one discounted ticket for each day of the festival you wish to attend.

Access to member discounts:  You need to wait 24 hours after you join ABOTMA before you can buy member discounted Mountaingrass Festival tickets in Humanitix.

* The ABOTMA membership period changed in 2025 when we transitioned to a new membership system and process.  There is now no need to log in, remember passwords OR know your member number to renew or join ABOTMA.  Every year you buy a new membership unless you are a lifetime member.

How do I join ABOTMA?

1. Click on the Register for ABOTMA Membership button (which will take you to our membership system in Try Booking).

2. On the Try Booking ABOTMA membership page. 
3. Click on the Register Now button.   
4. On the Select Tickets page click the + sign beside the membership type you want.  

5. Click + for the number of memberships you wish to purchase then click Next.

6. On the next screen enter the member details - this is important it is your membership record.  

7. Click Next.
8. Enter the buyer email, phone number and booking details on the Checkout page so that you receive your membership card.

9. When buying your Mountaingrass Festival tickets online in Humanitix you will need to enter your membership number to obtain your member discount.

How do I buy Member Discount Tickets in Humanitix?

• The Member Number on your membership card is the access code to view hidden member discounted weekend tickets to buy 
• The Member Email on your membership card is the access code to view hidden member discounted day tickets to buy.
• Click on the go to Ticket Page button (after waiting 24 hours)

To become a member of ABOTMA or renew your ABOTMA membership click on the Register button to go to Try Booking.  Look for an email from 'ABOTMA Committee' after you join, it has instructions on how to access your member discounted Mountaingrass Festival Tickets.

When can I join or renew my ABOTMA membership?  

You can join or renew any time after 1 July each year but your membership will expire on 30 June.  

Can I purchase a joint or couple membership?

Members must register individually as joint memberships are not possible.  

Why can't I join as a couple?  

As a not for profit incorporated association, ABOTMA requires individual membership records to validate entitlements to vote at an AGM; to be nominated as an ABOTMA Commitee member; and ensure eligibility to access member benefits such as member discount priced Mountaingrass Festival tickets.

Can I buy a membership for someone else?
Yes, you can purchase memberships for other people but you will need the other person's details to enter on their membership record including a unique email address, their postal address and mobile phone number.

When do Mountaingrass Festival tickets go on sale?

Mountaingrass Festival tickets are on sale after 1 July every year.  ABOTMA memberhip periods align with our festival ticket sales so we can ensure that each member can only access one member discounted weekend ticket, or member discounted separate day tickets per year.  

I can't find my membership details - what do I do?

You don't need last year's membership details to buy or renew your membership this year.

I joined this year but can't find my membership details - what do I do?

If you joined after 1 July and can't find your membership details for this current year, go to TryBooking and click the Contact Event Organiser box, choose resend tickets (enter the email address you used buy the membership).  You will be re-sent the email with your member ticket attached. 

If that still doesn't work, go back to the contact event organiser box, choose message the event organiser.
