Parking
There is plenty of car parking at, or near, our three venues. 
Senior Citizens Centre: there is a large carpark (for 40+ cars) beside the Senior Citizens Centre accessed off Cobden Street or via Baker's Gully Road.  It's an easy stroll to all 3 venues from there and offers lots of shady spots in the afternoons.
Bright Community Centre: the nearest car park is accessed via Burke Street (both ends) it's also shady and has dedicated disabled parking spots with easy access to the front of the Community Centre.  There is some parking along Railway Avenue. 
Bright Courthouse Theatre: off street parking can be accessed from Park Street but there is also parking along Park Street and Bakers Gully Road.  Disability parking is past the venue on the gravel driveway under the trees - space is limited.

Bright Community Centre, 1 Railway Avenue: 

The Bright Community Centre has a dedicated ramp on the entrance facing the Burke Street carpark. There dedicated disabled parking spots in the Burke St carpark facing the creek. There is a disabled toilet to the right of the stage.  If you have special requirements please contact us via info@abotma.org.au so we can try to help you.


Senior Citizens Centre, 2 Cobden St

The Senior Citizens centre is fully accessible via paved surfaces to the front entrance off Cobden Street and from the carpark next door on the corner of Cobden St and Bakers Gully Road. There are dedicated disabled parking spaces in the carpark.

Bright Courthouse Theatre, 1-3 Park St 

The Bright Courthouse Theatre is accessible via a ramp on the left hand side of the building (if you are coming in from the carpark off Park Street).  Those with mobility issues can park under the trees near the gravel roundabout - enter via the gravel driveway off the carpark.   Note that the surface is gravel until you get to the ramp leading into the building. The outside toilets are disability accessible and there is a dedicated disability accessible toilet inside the theatre off the foyer area.


Public Toilets

There are public toilets, with disabled access, near the Burke St carpark, a very short walk from the Community Hall, that are open 24/7.

Defibrillator: 

There is a defibrillator just inside the entrance to the Senior Citizens Centre,  2 Cobden St.


Pets

We can't have pets, including dogs, inside any of our venues unless they are a guide dog or a registered Service animal.  However, they will be  fine outside in the grounds of any of our venues as long as they are accompanied by an owner. 


Alcohol

The Bright Brewery will be outside the Community Centre selling their craft beers and a selection of wines and spirits and soft drinks.  There can by no BYO alcohol on the premises due to the presence of a licensed liquor provider - there are heavy penalties directed at the licence holder in Victoria.


Coffee

We will have a dedicated coffee van at the Community Centre.  Mr Bojangles will be returning with his van selling Bright's Sixpence Coffee out the front of the Senior Citizens Centre on Cobden Street  Grab a coffee as you pass by (also note this is very handy for anyone staying at the NRMA Bright Caravan Park or The Velo across the road). 


Food

We will have local vendors The Redhead and Chef (Friday & Saturday) and the Valley Snack Shack (Sunday) selling food from their van at the Community Centre selling a variety of delicious food including breakfast options on Saturday with gluten free and vegetarian choices as well as soft drinks.   


Bottled water: 

As this is a Waste Wise event bottled water will not be for sale. Please bring along a reusable water bottle. It can be refilled at the water bottle re-filling station at the Community Hall near the entrance ramp, and in the kitchens of the Senior Citizens Centre and Bright Courthouse Theatre. 


Weather

Bright enjoys a mild climate. The average minimum for November is 7.5C, average maximum 23.8C, and can expect around 80mm of rain over an average of 10 days. It is 319m above sea level. 


Bright (and nearby Porepunkah) 

Bright and Porepunkah, about 5 minutes away, have between them a wide range of amenities for visitors. In addition to a Woolworths and an IGA there are shops selling clothing, antiques, homewares and hardware. There are hotels, a brewery, restaurants and cafes, a newsagent, a pharmacy, doctors’ surgeries, a vet,  several petrol stations,  and two op shops.
