Newbury Fog is a duo from the Central Highlands, Victoria, playing a mix of fiddle tunes and songs. Nara and Karina also play together in the Greater Glider String Band, they have played at Woodford Folk Festival, Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass Festival, Nimbin Roots Festival, Mountaingrass, Yarra Junction Fiddlers Convention, Trentham Spudfest and other local festivals and events.

Nara Demasson has been a professional musician for over 20 years with several tours of Europe as musical director in circus shows, and with the band Vulgargrad. Nara has also played at numerous Australian folk festivals with various acts including at WOMAD, Woodford folk festival, The National Folk Festival and many others. Nara has played in diverse bands and music traditions from early jazz and Hawaiian (Wikimen) to Russian Criminal music (Vulgargrad), traditional Italian folk (Santa Taranta) and Bluegrass (Brunswick Bluegrass Collective) and Cajun (Gob Iron Stringband), focusing here on his love of old time music and fiddle.

Karina has spent many years absorbed by old time music playing banjo and guitar at sessions and festivals and dancing to Cajun and old time whenever she gets the chance. Both Nara and Karina share a true love of traditional American music, fiddle tunes, country ballads and rural music.
